Who We Want

Indianapolis Teaching Fellows is looking for a diverse group of individuals from a variety of backgrounds who have demonstrated success in academic careers and professional endeavors. Your demonstrated success indicates that you may have the potential to be successful in this intensive program. Because we want to ensure that our students have the best teachers, our program sets very high expectations that all Fellows must meet.

Teaching Fellows are former engineers, social workers, and musicians. Excellent candidates will have a strong desire to affect change in high need classrooms and to positively impact the academic performance of students from low-income communities. We want individuals who are interested in going into the high-need schools in Indianapolis, because that is where they are needed most. The rigorous interview and selection process will require candidates to demonstrate their potential to successfully challenge, motivate, and influence their students.
