Being a Fellow

Certification

One of the greatest benefits of becoming an Indianapolis Teaching Fellow is that this accelerated route to the classroom enables Fellows to work toward their teaching license while teaching full-time. By completing all Indianapolis Teaching Fellows program requirements, Fellows will be able to begin their teaching career on a Transition to Teaching permit. The Transition to Teaching permit allows Fellows to teach full-time while completing coursework towards an Initial Practitioner License.

Fellows will earn their Initial Practitioner License in two years by remaining in good standing with Indianapolis Teaching Fellows and successfully completing all coursework with Marian University.
